Sinapse is the lead sponsor of Ironman Triathlon Athlete, Matt Arms. Ironman consists of a 3.9 km swim, 180 km bike and 42.2 km run raced in that order, and without a break. It is widely considered to be the most difficult one-day endurance event in the world.
Matt currently holds a Gold All-World Ironman ranking after finishing 7th in Australia and 36th world-wide for 2014 in his age group. Matt qualified for the World Championships with an impressive 6th place in the 2015 Asia Pacific Championship in Melbourne earlier this year, and hopes to improve his world ranking with a strong performance in Kona later this month. Matt has been competing in Ironman events for only 4 years, and started with the goal of qualifying for Kona, which he managed last year, and he is thrilled to have qualified again this year.
Sinapse is very proud to sponsor Matt as he represents the power of motivation and determination. After nearly losing his life to serious illness 15 years ago, Matt’s top 1% ranking is all the more impressive as he competes with an ongoing condition that limits his endurance ability, and makes the physical challenge all the greater.
The 2015 Ironman World Championship is on Saturday 10th of October, and will be streamed live to Australia from 3am Sunday 11th October.
Sinapse wishes Matt the best of luck for race day!
